Company Overview

Founded in 1983, Akimoto Kikou has over 40 years of experience in structural steelwork. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, we played an important role in accelerating post-disaster recovery by fabricating numerous large-scale steel structures for the decommissioning process. These structures include ground floor access control buildings and large-scale rest areas. We have also been commended for our crucial role in the reopening of J-Village, the starting point of the Olympic torch relay. We also received an award from the Japan Construction Engineers’ Association for the Manabiya Yumenomori in Okuma, which stands as a symbol of post-disaster reconstruction and restoration in Fukushima Prefecture.
