First established in 1969 to sell and repair construction machinery, Showa Koki has since expanded its operations into lease and rental services, sales of civil engineering materials, and general civil engineering.
In 2022, Showa Koki launched a new biomass venture using small-scale biomass boilers to reuse agricultural waste, improve energy use, and reduce CO2 emissions. Showa Koki’s biomass business offers dedicated support at all stages from planning to construction and maintenance.
We also extract botanical silica from rice husk and rice straw ash.

Using locally produced rice husks as fuel, sodium silicate and high-purity silica (approx. 99%) are then extracted from the resulting combustion ash.
Our systems utilize rice husks to their fullest potential, wasting no part of this valuable agricultural resource.
We support the sustainable use of biomass in a fully circular loop through “local use of local resources, returning value from waste products to the source.”
